Sheesh! Life sure has a way of piling it on. I feel like I haven’t had an extra minute lately. That’s why I haven’t had a post in close to 2(!) months. I sort of bit off a bit more than I could chew and now I’m playing catch-up.
I did quite a bit of shooting, and what most people don’t realize is that an hour of shooting means another two hours of retouching and editing. I wonder if I can sucker my sister into doing my post work? She got mad skills, yo.
Anywho, I dragged Heather and John (kicking and screaming) out to the Distillery District in Toronto last month for their engagement shoot. It was bitter cold that day, and of course it immediately warmed up and weather was gorgeous for a week following the shoot. The Distillery District is a historic area in Toronto filled with art galleries and trendy shops. The architecture is stunning, and makes a magnificent background to a loving couple like Heather and John. By the way, should you venture down to the Distillery District and find yourself in need of caffeination skip the dirty water that Balzac’s tries to pass off as coffee and head straight to The Sweet Escape P√¢tisserie – their coffee is art.
Also, if you want to get pictures done at the Distillery you’ll need a permit. I had mine, it saved me a hassle from the man.
Enjoy the shots!
