I don’t have a lot of time to craft a post today, I’ve been on the phone all morning trying to straighten out some suppliers and I gotta run to grab Syd from school soon. Since I’m such a sharer I wanted to post some of my favourite images from a wedding I second shot in the summer for my buddy Adam Belnap of William Ainsley Photography at Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax, Ontario. Deer Creek is an awesome venue. I’ve shot there one other time and they do a great job. Had the best steak ever there, so if you go skip the chicken.
I love second shooting because there’s less pressure, and there’s more opportunity to look for shots. As a second, one of my jobs is to get the “fill in” shots. The shots that aren’t really essential but flesh out the story of the day. I’m not so fond of the fact that I don’t usually get to meet the couple before the wedding day and there’s much less of a connection between me and the couple, but as a second I usually try to stay invisible anyways.
Anywho, I’m off to grab the kiddo, enjoy the shots.

These are stunning! the silhouette photo is an amazing idea!
Thank you.
Great vision Luca, I particularly love the silhouette and the documentary look all around.
